Pumpkin Festival 2012 was a Great Success! A Fabulous 41st Year - Thanks to All!
Pleasant fall weather, acres of colorful autum foliage and lots of great attractions drew crowds to the 41st annual Pumpkin Festival at Hiram House Camp, on October 14, 2012.
The even raised thousands for our annual Campership Fund to enable children in need to enjoy a life-enriching summer camp experience.
Thanks to everyone who attended, our staff, volunteers, sponsors and supports - it was a great success! Please join us again next year for another fantastic Pumpkin Festival!

Food, Rides, Games, Crafts, Animals, Entertainment, Music, Family Fun for All Ages!
Visitors to the 41st annual fall Pumpkin Festival at Hiram House Camp, at 33775 Hiram Trail, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44022, on Sunday, October 14, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., enjoyed beautiful autumn foliage, food, rides, animals, entertainment, games, crafts, and fun for the whole family, on 172-wooded acres in the scenic Chagrin Valley!
Rain or Shine! - There were Great indoor & outdoor attractions and activities for all ages! Like the SPOOK-tacular indoor Haunted Hay Maze at our Double H Ranch, designing your own BOO-tiful Pumpkins in our Pumpkin Patch, doing the “Witches' Waltz”, Animal Petting Farm, Hay Wagon, Euclid Beach Rocket Car & Pony Rides, Face Painting, Candle Dipping, Raffle, Carnival Games, Inflatable Bounce House, Kiddie Craft Corner, Coloring Contest, Archery, Pumpkins and Mums sale & more!

Other Exciting Entertainment, Shows & Exhibits: Guests also enjoyed the Crooked River Fifes & Drums, plus Red Hackle Bagpipers & Drums. Listening to Music Together of the ChagrinValley 4 Kids. Watching the Showstopper’s School of Baton Twirling performances. Having hands-on fun at Cleveland Children’s Museum display, making your own Clothespin characters, meet the Cleveland Aquarium's mascot, & more!
Special Attractions! Back by popular demand – Vistors received a FREE child's meal coupon for Yours Truly Restaurants' for the first 500 families through the gates, met life-sized Care Bears, courtesy of Cleveland's own American Greetings, toured University Hospitals Family Health & Safety Booth. Activities at the UH Rainbow cabin included Halloween & Pedestrian Safety and a Teddy Bear Clinic where kids could help their brand new stuffed toys (provided free by UH Ahuja Medical Center) "feel better" by giving them check-ups. Seeing the Baldwin Wallace Fairy Tale Princess Palooza, Thrilling to Fire Juggling and Unicycle Riding Demos by Dan the Juggling Man Castrigano. Marveling at exciting Boomerang demonstrations by world champion Boomeranger Gary Broadbent of Broadbent Boomerangs, listening to African Drums by the Golden Ciphers Drum Troope and folk music by River City Trouble Band, enjoying life-size walk-around “Jungle Puppets”, like BeBe the Chimpanzee, by Katie Bee Entertainment, St. Ignatius Circus Company Jugglers, & more!

Fall Foods & refreshments included: NEW! Great taste treats! Mix your own Trail Mix! Everyone could try some yummy Baked Apples over an open fire or spicy Nachos & Cheese or enjoy a delicious Pancake Breakfast (10 a.m. to noon/12:00 p.m.) and other food items available throughout the day including: Pizza, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Italian Sausages, Chicken Fingers, Fries, S'Mores, Apple Cider, Donuts, Caramel Apples, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Coffee, Funnel Cakes, Hot Chocolate, Soda Pop, Water, Soft Pretzels, & more!
Back for 41st Anniversary! FREE Admission for all children ages 12 and under (must be accompanied by an adult), $5 Adult Admission. (No pets or picnic baskets please. Some attractions require additional fee.) All-day wristbands available at $20 for most attractions (food concessions, balloons, raffle, pumpkins, mums, are not included.) Park for FREE at Orange Schools, at 32000 Chagrin Blvd. and take FREE Shuttle Buses to Camp.

Those who prepared the grounds, set up the Haunted Hay Maze, cook pancakes, grilled foods, sold tickets, staffed booths & attractions, donated goods & services, & organizeed the event. Volunteers include students from Baldwin Wallace College, Case Western Reserve Unversity John Carroll University & Hiram College, Giant Eagle, Hiram House Board, Lander Circle Kiwanis Club, Pumpkin Festival Committee, United Way Young Professionals.
