Visit the 37th annual Pumpkin Festival at Hiram House Camp this fall, at 33775 Hiram Trail, in Moreland Hills, Ohio 44022, on Sunday, October 12, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Enjoy beautiful autumn foliage, food, rides, animals, entertainment, games, crafts, and fun for the whole family, on 172-wooded acres in the scenic Chagrin Valley area!
Don't miss the SPOOK-tacular indoor Haunted Hay Maze at our Double H Ranch, design your own BOO-tiful Pumpkins and Halloween Totes in our Pumpkin Patch, do the “Witches' Waltz”, enjoy Animal Petting Farm, Hay Wagon, Rocket Car & Pony Rides, Face Painting, Candle Dipping, Flea Market, Raffle, Carnival Games, Kiddie Craft Corner, Coloring Contest, Archery, Pumpkins and Mums & more!
NEW in 2008! See Exotic Animal Shows (Iguanas, Snakes, Lizards) by Vannessa's IggyIsland, plus Capoeira, a rhythmic Brazilian martial arts form that blends break-dancing, drumming & gymnastics performed by the Rainey Institute, Folk Music by the JFA Band, and children's Story Hour enacted by contumed students from Hiram College. “Fair Trade” items will also be sold by students from the Hiram College Olive Branch Store to benefit the Hiram House “Campership Fund”.
Back for 2008! – Receive a FREE child's meal coupon for Yours Truly Restaurants' for the first 500 families through the gates, meet life-sized Care Bears - courtesy of Cleveland's own American Greetings, tour University Hospitals Family Health & Safety Booth, Ambulance & Helicopter.
Special Entertainment Shows & Exhibits: See Ramrod Busters Historic Re-enactors in period dress (from Mountain Men to the Civil War to the Old West), Jugglers, Antique Fire Engine (weather permitting), Music, Cabaret Troupe, & more!
Foods and refreshments include: Great taste treats! Try some yummy Baked Apples over an open fire or spicy Nachos & Cheese. Also, enjoy a delicious Pancake Breakfast (from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) and other food items available throughout the day including: Pizza, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Italian Sausages, Chicken Fingers, Fries, S'Mores, Apple Cider, Apple Sticks, Donuts, Caramel Apples, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Coffee, Elephant Ears, decorate your own Cookies by Design & more!
Park for FREE at Orange Schools, at 32000 Chagrin Blvd. and take FREE Shuttle Buses to the Camp. Admission is $4 Adults & $3 Children ages 2-12, under age 2 FREE. (No pets or picnic baskets please. Some attractions require additional fee.) All-day wristbands available for $15 (include unlimited festival rides and most attractions. Food concessions, photos, balloons, raffle, tote bags are not included.)
